All the "interludes" are
fragments of
music (usually electronic in nature) that interrupt or introduce the
following ambience.
ANOTHER BISHOP - It does more
than anything else reference to previous production (Bishop), where the idea was the game of chess. Instead,
one of tune is "stolen" from "Sugo Dance", another old song, that is part of the Ad Maiora's
repertoire. (Ad Maiora is a
progressive-rock band where I play keyboards)
ICE 9 - "Ice 9" is a
science fiction book by Kurt Vonnegut, 1963. The sound of the synth
made me come up with this title.
GIMME FIRE - It comes from the
famous "Take Five" by Dave Brubeck, and the phrase: “Gimme Five”. But
the reference is only due to the almost jazz style.
ON A FAILLI LE
FALLOIR - Play on words in French that you can translate as "We might
have to stand for do it".
DE REFRIGERIIS JUGERI - Latin phrase meaning
"Annealing hectares." It's obvious that it is a no-sense title due to
the word's sound.
NENIA - The name says. It starts with a nearly
dissonance and then develop an harmonious interlocking.
QWERTY - As you
can see from the cover, q w e r t y are the first letters of the
(italian) keyboard of a computer or other devices. All this because
this track was initially compound with a sequencer without the aid of
musical instruments. The various parts were written directly into the
midi file. From here the meaning of the hands with the jack (keyboard)
and plectrum (guitar) who seek to get in touch with the PC.
ALMANALLO -
Memories of childhood. The themes are taken from two old RAI
broadcasts: "L' Almanacco del giorno dopo" and "Intervallo". TRAPPE
NIGAUD - Another French word that means "trap".
DEATH (in memory of)
Everyone is unfortunately happened to lose a few family member, friend
or pet. The yearning sound of the synth together with the quite sad
song raised in me that terrible sensation of pain.
EMPTY TREE - I
cannot give you an explanation for this title. Maybe the only reason is
that the pronunciation in English looks like the term "mp3".
